Mariela is responsible for finance, planning and control.
Prior to joining Temprano as finance director in 2016, Mariela spent 15 years in corporate roles in real estate, holding senior positions for Hercesa Inmobiliaria, Grupo Lar and Lar Grosvenor.
Her experience spans Spanish, Eastern Europe and Latin American markets, and she has lived and worked in Madrid, Mexico City and Shanghai.
Mariela is based in Madrid and speaks Spanish, English and Mandarin.
- Jonathan HollowayJonathan Holloway
Jonathan is responsible for development management for the student residence programme.
Prior to joining Temprano in 2016, Jonathan was based in Paris for 9 years where he founded a development-consultancy business as well as working with office developer Capital & Continental. Before that, Jonathan spent 2 years in China with Savills where he helped establish their investment advisory business. Jonathan started his career in real estate in Spain with Savills in 2002.
Jonathan is based in Madrid. He speaks French, Spanish and English and is conversant in Portuguese.
- Neil JonesNeil Jones
Neil has spent nearly 30 years working in the real estate industry primarily in Contintental European markets.
In 1997, he was appointed Chief Executive of Grosvenor Europe being charged with establishing and implementing Grosvenor’s European infrastructure and strategy. He ran this business from Paris for 12 years during which he invested heavily in Spain and Portugal as well as in France, Italy and Belgium through a variety of proprietary investments, partnerships and own-managed funds. By 2007, he had largely implemented Grosvenor’s exit from the Spanish market. He remains an advisor to Grosvenor Group Ltd. today
Since 2009, Neil has focused on establishing new businesses in geographic locations where he sees value and has experience. In 2010, he co-founded Almacantar, the London-focused developer, of which he remains a shareholder today, and from 2012 returned to his Continental European ‘roots’ co-founding Temprano Capital Partners which, to date, has focused on Iberian markets.
Neil is currently a non-executive director of Sonae Sierra and the Leducq Foundation and a senior advisor to Grosvenor Group Limited. Previous directorships include Majid Al Futtiaim Properties, Grupo Lar Grosvenor and Société Foncière Lyonnaise.
He is based in Madrid and speaks English, French and intermediate Spanish.
- Enrique Biel GleesonEnrique Biel Gleeson
Enrique is responsible for asset and development management of retail assets.
Between 2001 and 2009, he worked for Grupo Lar and Lar Grosvenor as development manager. He was development manager for the development of two regional shopping centre schemes: Islazul (Madrid) and Splau (Barcelona).
Prior to 2001, Enrique worked for THI / Lend Lease and was responsible for development and expansion in Spain. He secured and developed the Diversia project in Alcobendas (Madrid).
Between 1992 and 1997, Enrique worked in investment and development roles for international real estate consultants CBRE and Knight Frank in London, Düsseldorf, Munich and Madrid.
Enrique is based in Madrid and speaks English, Spanish, German and French.
- James PrestonJames Preston
James is a co-founder of Temprano.
Prior to this, James headed the Iberian operation of Rockspring Property Investment Managers, Rockspring Iberia, in which he was a major shareholder. He remained in this position until May 2016, dividing his time between the two businesses.
During his 11-year career at Rockspring, he led all of its acquisition and disposal programmes throughout the region, and was also fund manager of the Rockspring Portuguese Property Partnership. While the programmes invested across diverse asset classes – including retail, offices, logistics, and residential development – his primary focus was in the retail sector; he led the acquisition and disposal programmes of over 30 retail assets during this period.
James has lived and worked in Spain and Portugal for over 22 years. He began his property career at Healey and Baker (now Cushman and Wakefield) in 1990.
James is also a non-executive director of the Spanish real estate investment trust (SOCIMI) Uro Property Holdings S.A.
James is based in Madrid and speaks English, Spanish and French.
- Laura RomeroLaura Romero
Laura is responsible for corporate marketing and public relations.
Prior to joining Temprano she had experience in France and Spain as an export manager and project manager for marketing and digital-marketing products.
Laura graduated with a degree in International Business and Marketing at ESCI, Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona (UPF). She also completed a postgraduate degree in Music Business Industry at the BSM Barcelona School of Management, Universidad Pompeu Fabra, in Barcelona.
She has lived in Australia, Germany and France. She speaks fluent Spanish, English and French, and is conversant in German and Portuguese.
- Jose QuintelaJose Quintela
Jose is responsible for project conceptualisation and design.
He joined Temprano in 2014, following a highly distinguished career that began in 1986. As Chief Design Officer of Sonae Sierra, he was responsible for concept design and overseeing all architectural-design aspects of all the group’s projects. Some of Jose's main achievements include the world-class shopping centres Centro Colombo (including the landmark office towers) and Vasco da Gama in Lisbon (including the landmark residential towers); Norte Shopping in Oporto; La Spezia, and Biella in Italy; Alexanderplatz in Berlin; and Parque dom Pedro and Manauara in Brazil. Prior to Sonae, Jose spearheaded many projects in countries including Portugal, Angola, Switzerland,
Senegal, the Caribbean, and Venezuela.
He describes himself as "an adder of value through design", and continues to actively apply this core approach to the design of Temprano projects.
Jose is based in Lisbon and speaks Portuguese, Spanish, English and French.
- Adriana LópezAdriana López
Adriana graduated with a degree in Translation and Interpreting at Universidad Jaume I in Castellón (UJI).
She has lived in France. She speaks fluent Spanish and English and is conversant in French and Portuguese.
- Timothy YoungTimothy Young
Tim is responsible for property analysis, risk-assessment and acquisitions.
He began his career in the London office of Grosvenor before moving to join the European team in Paris in 2002. Here he worked on retail and office acquisitions in France, Benelux, Spain, Portugal and Italy before moving back to London in 2006 to focus on residential investment.
In 2007, Tim joined Macquarie Capital, where he worked on private and public acquisitions before becoming the business manager for Macquarie's investment into the UK self-storage sector. He sold the business in 2010.
Between 2011 and 2013, he worked in Senegal and then Paris for a private fund establishing and investing in financial institutions in Africa. His connection with Neil Jones brought him back to the property sector in early 2013. Since joining Temprano, Tim has worked on acquisitions and management of the retail assets and now focuses on acquisitions and new business.
Tim is based in Barcelona and speaks English and French.
- Jamie ReaJamie Rea
Jamie is responsible for development and asset management within the student residence programme.
Prior to this, Jamie was co-head of Hines Spain. During his 14 year career at Hines, he led all acquisition, development and asset management activities, throughout Spain. During his time with Hines, Jamie was responsible for the full ground up development, asset management and disposal of a prime retail mall in Madrid. Other direct development experience included full project oversite for office and residential developments in both Madrid and Barcelona. Jamie also led a number of master planned community projects and changes of use under land option agreements.
Prior to Hines, Jamie spent 5 years as a property director at Prima Inmobiliaria (later Testa Inmuebles en Renta).
Jamie has lived and worked in Spain for 26 years. He began his property career as a valuation surveyor at Richard Ellis. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
- Reyes Martinez-ArrarásReyes Martinez-Arrarás
Reyes graduated with a double degree in Business Administration and Marketing and Commercial Management at ESIC Business and Marketing School in Madrid.
Prior to joining Temprano in 2017, she interned in Ferrovial and Volkswagen Financial Services.
She is based in Madrid and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Vicente RamónVicente Ramón
Vicente es Asistente Ejecutivo.
Antes de incorporarse a Temprano en 2016 Vicente tenía un anticuario y desarrollaba múltiples estudios de numismática y arqueología. También trabajó en una librería de género antiguo.
Vicente vive en Madrid y habla español, inglés, catalán e italiano.
- Alexander BacheAlexander Bache
Alex joined Temprano in 2018 as an analyst.
Having studied in the UK, Alex was awarded a First Class Honours degree in Economics from the University of Sussex, and went on to obtain a postgraduate degree in Real Estate Investment from Cass Business School. Previous experience includes internships at Tradition Financial Services, Telereal Trillium, and CBRE Hanoi.
Alex is based in Madrid and speaks English and Spanish.
- João Pessoa JorgeJoão Pessoa Jorge
João Pessoa Jorge has more than 35 years of experience in the Real Estate sector in Portugal, Brasil, Colombia and China.
He has worked on the development of shopping centers, managed and developed residential projects and has acted as consultant on shopping centre projects.
Joao was development manager for more than 21 years in Sonae Sierra.
He lives in Portugal and speaks Portuguese, fluent English and Spanish.
